In an attempt to make sure that the jury was not seeking to punish OJ for his 1995 acquital in Los Angeles, the judge made sure to warn the jury that this criminal case was another criminal case and should be judged on it own merits. Simpson’s Criminal Lawyer and his other reps were happy about the judges comments.

Judge Jackie Glass said no to a request to ask jurors if they thought Simpson was guilty in the LA trial.

Glass then warned the panel not to try to get revenge for what happened before. She told the jurors to step down if they were looking to cash in from convicting O.J. Simpson in this criminal case.

TV and Movie star Dennis Farina was detained at LAX when it was discovered that a loaded .22 caliber gun was in his carry-on luggage. Farina who has starred in Law and Order for many years and often has played roles on one side of the law or the other has apologized for the incident.

“Farina was very apologetic and cooperative with officers,” police said, reports New York’s Daily News. The actor, 64, was released on $35,000 and promptly issued a statement.

Farina’s lawyer explained what happened and posted bail for the actor. After an argument which ended in gun play, Makeda Barnes Joseph was injured. Remy Ma, aka Remy Smith, was sentenced to 8 years’ jail for her involvement in the encounter last summer. Remy and Joseph argued over money in NYC. Remy’s gun went off. Remy maintained that the gun was not meant to go off…it was an accident.

Remy cried when she got her sentence. Eight years was a long time but she got off lightly. She could have gotten 25 years for her obvious street sensibility and stupidity.

She got off lightly because she had a good lawyer. Make sure that you have a NY Criminal Lawyer to defend you if you are charged with a crime. Not having a New York Criminal Attorney representing you could lead to conviction and a sentence which is the maximum rather than the minimum.

The Game checked into the Twin Towers Correctional Facility tonight to begin serving his sentence for pleading no contest to a felony charge of possession of a firearm in a school zone.

Last month, Game (real name Jayceon Taylor) was sentenced to 60 days in jail, 150 hours of community service and three years probation.

If he was not represented by an attorney his sentence could have been even more harsh.
