A Correction Officer has sat alone in the Westchester county Jail in NY, having been charged with conspiracy and assault in the alleged beating of an inmate in August of last year. She is one of three others have been accused of having a secret fight club called “The Program.” They are also being charged with many other violations. The alleged abuse came to light after the death of inmate Christopher Robinson last October.
Although she insists she had nothing to do with “The Program” and was likely a peripheral participant, Ms. Albright is charged with being in cahoots Officers Michael McKie and Khalid Nelson who masterminded the club. Albright is saying she’s blamed only because she worked with McKie and Nelson. At the moment she is being held in the Westchester jail for her own protection in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Ms Albright and others in her situation in the New York Metropolitan area would be wise to reach out to a New York Criminal Lawyer. Not consulting with a NY Criminal Defense Attorney could lead to jail time for a defendant.
The firm of Stephen Bilkis & Associates and its New York Crime Lawyers and convenient locations in the New York Metropolitan Area including Vinegar Hill, N.Y.C., can be very helpful to you if you find yourself a defendant in a criminal prosecution. Facing charges alone could lead to disastrous results.
