Jessie McFadden, a 21 was picked up by Nassau Police for endangering the welfare of two youngsters. Police reports say McFadden’s left the kids unattended in his house in what was said to be unsafe conditions. Luckily, the 8 month old and 6 year old girls were found unharmed. The two siblings were handed over to their mother. The Nassau County Police have not released where McFadden was, or why he left the child unattended. McFadden was charged with two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was released on his own recognizance after pleading not guilty.
Another man was arrested for child endangerment on the very same day. Juan Alvizures of Hempstead was taken to the Police Station after police discovered his child unattended in his car. They were responding to a 911 call when the 18 month old was discovered, crying and hungry. They say she was in the unlocked minivan for approximately 4 hours while he was working. The child was talem to the hospital for tests. The father was held overnight.
